    How to crop a PDF to PVC card size

    1. Pick your document. Choose e-Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID or another document above, or Crop one PDF for any other card.
    2. Choose the PDF. If it asks for a password, type it in. The tool finds the card on the page and cuts out the front and the back.
    3. Check and download. Move the crop box if it is not right, then download both sides at 85.6 × 54 mm, or an A4 sheet with cut marks.

    Common questions

    Is my document uploaded anywhere?
    No. The PDF is opened and cropped by your own browser, on your device. It is never sent to this website or anywhere else, and neither is its password.
    What size is the cropped card?
    85.6 × 54 mm, the standard PVC card size (ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1, also called CR80). It is the same size as a debit card. You get the front and the back as two separate images.
    My PDF asks for a password. What do I type?
    Type the password in the box the tool shows. It is used only on your device to open the file. Each document guide on this site explains that document’s password rule, for example for e-Aadhaar and e-PAN.
    What resolution and file type do I get?
    600 DPI by default, which suits card printers. You can also choose 300 DPI for home printing or 1200 DPI, PNG or JPG, an optional 1 mm bleed for edge-to-edge card printers, and an A4 print sheet with cut marks.
    Can I crop many PDFs at once?
    Yes. Choose Crop many at once, pick several PDFs, and every card comes back in one ZIP file, named by file.
    Does it work on a phone?
    Yes. It runs in any modern browser, on a phone or a computer. There is nothing to install and no sign-up for one file at a time.
    Is this an official government website?
