    How to print your Ayushman card as a PVC card

    1. Download your card PDF from beneficiary.nha.gov.in or the Ayushman App. (Steps are below.)
    2. Choose the PDF in the tool above. In our tests the file opened with no password.
    3. The tool sees that each of the 2 pages is one side of the card. It takes page 1 and page 2 whole and fits each one onto a PVC card.
    4. Look at the preview. The orange border should show on all four sides of both cards.
    5. Keep 600 DPI. Bleed is safe here: the tool extends the border colour, so you do not get a white edge.
    6. Download both sides, or the A4 print sheet. Print at 100% scale.

    Why this card needs a different crop

    This PDF is not a letter with a card inside it. It has two pages, and each page is one side of the card.

    Each page is 107.9 × 54.3 mm. That is the right height for a PVC card, but about 22 mm too wide. The picture runs right to the edges, so cutting the extra width away would cut off part of the photo, the QR code and the text.

    This tool does not cut anything off. It fits the whole page onto the card by making it a little narrower. If you prefer a different fit, open Crop not right? Adjust.

    How to download the Ayushman card PDF

    You can make and download the card yourself on the website beneficiary.nha.gov.in or in the Ayushman App (Google Play Store). On the website you sign in with your mobile number and an OTP, then search for your name.

    If your e-KYC is not done, finish it first. The Download Card button works only after that. Right after e-KYC the card can take some time to be ready, so try again later if it does not download. A nearby Common Service Centre (CSC) or empanelled hospital can also make the card for you.

    About the Ayushman card

    The Ayushman card is the card for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), run by the National Health Authority. It gives health cover of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year for hospital care, cashless, at empanelled hospitals. Since October 2024, people aged 70 and above get an Ayushman Vay Vandana Card under the same scheme, whatever their income.

    Printing tip for Ayushman

    The colour on this card runs right to the edge. On an edge-to-edge card printer, turn bleed on, or a thin white line can show where the printer trims. If you cut by hand, leave it off. For the other settings, see the PVC card print size guide.

    How do I print my Ayushman card on PVC?

    Why is my Ayushman card cut off when I crop it?
    Each page of the Ayushman PDF is wider than a PVC card, and the picture runs to the edges. Trimming it to card shape cuts off the photo, QR code and text. This tool fits the whole page onto the card instead, so nothing is lost.
    Does the Ayushman card PDF have a password?
    None of the Ayushman card PDFs we tested had one. The tool checks your file and only asks for a password if it is locked.
    Where do I download my Ayushman card PDF?
